Partnerships

Stronger together.

Anodox works with global partners across technology, energy development and manufacturing to bring reliable energy storage to more markets.

Shell

Global · Immersion cooling technology

Advancing immersion-cooled batteries with Shell dielectric fluids.

Anodox has entered a strategic collaboration with Shell International Petroleum Company Ltd. to advance high-performance battery technology using Shell's dielectric fluid formulations in Anodox's adaptive immersion systems.

By fully submerging battery cells directly into Shell's specialized immersion cooling fluid, Anodox maximizes thermal contact and temperature uniformity across the battery pack. This direct-liquid contact provides key advantages:

  • Thermal Management & Safety

The combination mitigates thermal runaway risks and ensures continuous operation under high electrical demand or extreme conditions.

  • Ultra-Fast Charging & Performance

Superior heat transfer removes thermal bottlenecks, enabling ultra-fast charging without degrading the cells.

  • Increased Durability

Eliminating hot spots significantly extends cell lifespan and operational reliability compared to traditional cooling methods.

  • Optimized Pack Design

Combining cooling and structural functions helps reduce battery pack weight and footprint while increasing overall energy density.

This collaboration leverages Shell's advanced chemistry alongside Anodox's cell-to-pack integration capabilities to deliver safer, more efficient, and longer-lasting liquid-immersed battery systems across electric mobility and energy storage applications.

GNPW Group

Rio de Janeiro, Brazil · Joint venture

Expanding advanced energy storage across Latin America.

Anodox AB has entered into a strategic joint venture with Rio de Janeiro–based GNPW Group to expand advanced energy storage and battery solutions across Latin America. The partnership combines Anodox's European battery engineering with GNPW Group's position in Brazilian energy development and logistics.

Strategic rationale & market impact:

  • Accelerating Brazil's Energy Transition

Pairs Anodox's high-density LFP and immersion-cooled battery systems with GNPW Group's utility-scale renewable energy infrastructure (including solar PV, biomethane, and distributed generation projects).

  • Local Market Navigation

Capitalizes on GNPW Group's experience in navigating Brazil's regulatory framework, local energy auctions, and public-private partnerships (PPPs).

  • Grid Stabilization & Microgrids

Deploys containerized battery energy storage systems (BESS) to balance intermittency in solar and biomass generation, strengthen grid reliability, and support industrial microgrids.

  • Regional Supply Chain Acceleration

Establishes a local operational footprint in Brazil to shorten lead times, lower transport emissions, and serve target commercial and industrial sectors across South America.

This joint venture leverages both companies' core strengths to establish a resilient, localized clean energy ecosystem in one of the world's fastest-growing renewable energy markets.

OREL Group

Sri Lanka · Joint venture manufacturing

Joint venture manufacturing and research in Sri Lanka.

Anodox AB has entered into a strategic joint venture partnership with OREL IT (part of the global OREL Group) to establish a joint venture manufacturing and research facility in Sri Lanka. The joint entity, Orel Anodox, combines Anodox's European engineering in high-density LFP and immersion-cooled battery systems with OREL IT's deep expertise in AI, IoT, and in the future exploring Industry 4.0 technologies.

Strategic rationale & market impact:

  • Gateway to South Asia & APAC

Sri Lanka's strategic geographic positioning along key Indian Ocean shipping lanes allows the facility to serve as a fast-turnaround export hub for rapidly growing markets across South Asia, Southeast Asia, and the broader APAC region.

  • Addressing Regional Mobility & Grid Demand

The facility directly targets South Asia's surging demand for commercial two- and three-wheeler electrification, light EV powertrains, and resilient microgrid storage designed to perform reliably in tropical and high-ambient-temperature environments.

  • Leveraging Trade Agreements

Capitalizes on Sri Lanka's established regional trade frameworks and maritime logistics networks to lower landed costs, minimize transit times, and streamline supply chains for international distribution.

This joint venture bridges Swedish clean-tech innovation with Sri Lanka's technological and manufacturing ecosystem, setting a new benchmark for digitized, safe, and sustainable energy storage.
